Vintage Market Keeps it Local
A popular Suffolk market that celebrates the work of local artisans, makers and vintage traders will be taking the event to a new home at Friday Street Farm Shop and The Barn Co in Farnham, near Saxmundham.
Organised by Deben Events, the first event, The Friday Street Vintage & Makers Market, will take place on Sunday 25th June when visitors will be able to find everything from locally-made crafts and art, to vintage fashions and homewares.
Tim Clover of Deben Events, said, “We’re always getting asked to put on more events, and Friday Street is a great location for us to do so, just off the A12 and with free parking. Visitors will be able to find the works of our talented local traders, then sample some of the best food and drink made in the area. This is our first event here and we hope to become a fixture at the site, alongside our regular markets at Snape Maltings.”
The market will be located in front of The Barn Co, a rustic interiors showroom that sells reclaimed and recycled designs, all handmade in Suffolk. Tony Knights, owner of The Barn Company, said, “We’re really looking forward to welcoming the market to Friday Street. It will be a great day out for people to find some unique items for their home, created by regional artisans and local traders.”
Gemma Lumpkin, Manager of Friday Street Farm Shop said, “We’re thrilled to be hosting a Deben Events’ market. Friday Street is already recognised as a destination that supports and celebrates our local food and drink producers, so we’re the ideal place to showcase the region’s talented craftspeople and artisans.”
The Friday Street Vintage & Makers Market will take place from 10am to 4pm. More information can be found at www.debenevents.com
